Gauri Festival 

Goddess Gowri is worshipped on the day of Gowri Habba, and girls devotees observe Swarna Gowri Vratha hunt blessings of the god Gowri, seeking happy married life.

There is a belief that today, Goddess Gowri comes home in an identical way a wife involves her parents' house. The very next day, Lord Ganesha, her son, comes as if to require her back to the abode of Mount Kailash. This festival is popularly referred to as Hartalika Teej in Maharashtra and other North Indian states.

Gowri Habba is also a Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Gowri, an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. It's a big festival in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, and it's observed each day before Ganesh Chaturthi.

Gowri Habba 2021 date is September 9. Gouri Habba is additionally referred to as Swarna Gouri Vratam. On today, Goddess Gowri (Parvathi) is worshipped. During the Shukla Paksha on the third day of the Bhadrapad month, the ritual and observance persist as per the regular Kannada calendar.

Gowri Habba is performed by unmarried and married women as well. On the Gowri Habba day by some communities, a golden image of Goddess Parvati is worshipped 

The favored belief is that Goddess Parvati visits her devotees, and Lord Ganesha comes on a subsequent day (Ganesh Chaturthi day) to require her back to Kailasa, the abode of Lord Shiva.

 

Swarna Gowri Vratha

On today, Hindu women and young girls are in new/elegant traditional attire. Beautifully painted ready-made clay idols of goddess gowri are decorated and are brought in the local market along with Ganesha statues.

 Along with the vrata, the pooja should be performed with cleanliness and dedication, often referred to as 'suchi' and 'shraddha.'

A mandapa, generally decorated with banana stems and mango leaves, is made around the idol. The goddess is decorated with flower garlands, and ladies get their gauridaara (a sacred thread)cotton vastra tied to their right wrists, as a neighborhood of vratha and blessings of Gauri.

As a part of the vratha, at least five baginas are prepared. A packet of arshina (Turmeric) is found in each packet of baagina, a little mirror, black beads (used within the mangalsutra), a comb, baLe bicchoLe, coconut, blouse piece, rice, green dal, jaggery cut, kumkuma(vermilion), wheat or rava, dhaanya (cereal), black bangles and tur dal during a cube form. The bagina is obtainable during a traditional mora (winnow painted with Turmeric). One such bagina is obtainable to Goddess Gowri and put aside. Married women are given the remaining Gowri baaginas.

Some communities make Gauri Idol Using Turmeric.

Usually, the idol is ready using Turmeric, or a clay idol of Goddess Gowri is additionally procured from the market. There are several regional variations within the observance. Most legend is related to the creation of Ganesha from her body Goddess G. In some places, a clay idol of Ganesha is also worshipped.

Please note that a Ganesh Gouri Festival is observed in Maharashtra during the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival, and it's different from this.

It is usually done by married women and maybe a significant festival in Karnataka. It's called Hartalika within the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. Throughout India, Gowri, the mother of Ganesha and wife of Shiva, is worshipped for her ability to bestow upon her devotee's courage and power. Hindu belief has it that Gowri is the incarnation of Aadhi Shakti Mahamaya. She is the Shakthi of Shiva. It's believed that on Thadige, or the third day of the month of Bhadra, Gowri comes home as all wives do at her parents' house. The following day Ganesha, her son, comes as if to require her back to Kailasa.
